Alison dos Santos of Brazil, the reigning IAAF World U-20 bronze medalist in the 400-meter hurdles, won the event in 49.93 seconds at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational. He just missed the facility record of 49.85 that has stood since 1992 and ran under 50 seconds for the first time since July in Finland.
